Rebecca Harper

fitness enthusiast, instructor & owner

Although I am originally from Louisiana, my husband and I moved to Bentonville from Denver, Co. in 2003 to open a veterinary practice and be closer to family. After starting our family, I took a 10 year hiatus from elementary education to be a stay at home mom. That’s when I learned that movement was crucial to my well being, physically and mentally.

With over 4 decades of specialized movement as a dancer, competitive gymnast and cheerleader, and 10 years as a fitness instructor, my mission with Body Balance is to help others become the best version of themselves through movement. Through my own journey of becoming a wife, a mother of 3 and a full time homemaker I know first hand how easy it is to pour into others while putting yourself on the backburner.

At the age of 35, I took my first barre class and fell in love! I knew then that it was my mission to teach others how to achieve balance through movement. When your body is strong, your mind is strong.

I have been a fitness professional for 10 years here in Bentonville and currently hold certifications in XFormer, bootybarre, bbarreless, Athletic Reformer, Pilates Suspension Method, bootybarre Suspension, bootybarre Bounce, Pumped Up Strength, YogaBody Stretch and WERQ Dance Fitness.

Elda Scott

fitness enthusiast {wannabe}, co-owner

I’m a California girl who moved to Bentonville all on my own, right out of college in 1995. After a long day at the office, I would spend most evenings and weekends at the Walton Life Fitness center, working out and playing tennis. It was here that I learned how to appreciate exercise, the importance of a wellness community and the value of a safe workout space. I’ve enjoyed Zumba, Yoga, Pilates, Barre, and HIIT over the years, mostly working out with friends.

Entering middle age, I was plagued with migraines and my fitness routine came to a quick STOP while the weight gain came to a quick start. Now, in my early fifties I’ve let go of the shame and learned to enjoy exercise without the pressure. I want to feel and function well. How I look or how I’m “supposed” to look, is irrelevant.
I want to move well and feel good as I age.

Working with Rebecca, I’ve learned how to exercise wisely, safely and with purpose.  My mission at Body Balance is to help others learn to move well and feel good too.

My husband Eric and I live in downtown Bentonville with our two daughters and two doodles.
