Studio FAQs:

What are your class booking policies?

We are a boutique fitness studio and space is at a premium. Reservations must be made
30 minutes prior to the start of class. Reserve your spot here or through the app.

New to Body Balance? Please arrive 10 minutes prior to class time to meet your instructor, go over a quick introduction of the class and tour our studio. If you are late to your first class we will reschedule your reservation for safety reasons (free for one reschedule, any reschedules thereafter will incur a late fee.)

For all subsequent visits, please arrive at least 5 minutes prior to class.

Late cancels/No-show: To make sure everyone has equal opportunity to join a class, we kindly ask that you cancel classes at least 4 hours before class begins. This way, those on the waitlist will have an opportunity to make it into class. If you cancel a class less than 4 hours before class begins, you will lose the class credit for class packs or be charged a $10 late fee for memberships.
If you no-show for your reserved class, you will lose the class credit for class packs and be charged a $20 no show fee for memberships.

For private appointments, we have a 12-hour private training cancellation policy. That means you can cancel up to 12 hours before the scheduled session to avoid penalty. If you cancel within 12 hours of the scheduled session you will lose your session.

Waitlist: Signing up for a waitlisted class carries the same policy as a class reservation. To prevent fees please remove yourself from the waitlist if you are unable to attend class. Please be sure to turn on your notifications so you will be notified when you move off the waitlist and into the class.

*As a small business, late-cancels and no-shows have a negative financial impact on our studio. We appreciate your understanding.
*We cannot accept cancellations via text or social media. All cancellations must be made on the BB/MB app so the software can effectively manage the waitlist.
* Future reservations will be unavailable for unpaid late fees. No exceptions. All fees are subject to change without notice.
*We understand that life happens. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns at info@bodybalancenwa.com

Do you accept walk ins for class?

With limited class sizes, we ask that everyone sign up in advance to reserve a spot. Waitlist reservations are available for full classes. Please download the BB or MB app to ensure your reservation is secured.

How do you create an account?

You can create an account through the website or through the BB and MB apps. From the website: when you select the “pricing” tab you will be prompted to login or create an account. From the App: once you download the app you will be prompted to create an account or login.

What are your accepted forms of payment?

All classes must be registered and paid for in advance through the website or the BB/MB app. Body Balance accepts all major debit and credit cards. We do not accept cash in studio for classes. Retail items are available for cash or credit.

How do I change or cancel my membership?

If you would like to change your membership type, the best way to ensure no duplicate payment occurs is to email us 30 days prior to the auto renew date of your current membership to inform us of the desired change. If a client purchases an additional membership online or in studio, the client is responsible for emailing the studio to cancel the duplicate membership. You can change your membership here or email us info@bodybalancenwa.com

To cancel any auto recurring memberships, please email us 30 days prior to the auto renew date. Emails received within the 30 day period will terminate the following pay cycle. All recurring monthly memberships canceled before the end of the commitment (ex: 3 months or 12 months) will incur a fee of $100 to cancel. Memberships cannot be canceled or altered via phone, text, or with our team in the studio. To cancel/change your membership please send an e-mail to info@bodybalancenwa.com

Can I freeze my membership?

We allow (1) free 30 day freeze for monthly memberships. Any freeze after this is a $35 fee each 30 days. To request a freeze please email us at info@bodybalancenwa.com no later than 2 weeks prior to your freeze date. Fee is waived for surgeries and maternity leave. Class packs can be extended one time only and extension depends on original expiration date.

What size are your classes?

We designed our XFormer studio to hold 8 machines and our barre studio to accommodate 20 yoga mats. We limit the number of clients allowed in each class because we want you to have our instructors full attention so that you feel safe and comfortable during your time with us.

Can I bring my phone into class?

We get it…we’re either parents, working adults or just trying to keep up on social media so we won’t tell you not to bring your phone into class. We do ask that you use your phone appropriately and do not disrupt class. If you need to chat please exit the room with as little disruption to the other clients as possible. We do not allow phones on the XFormer machine.

We love a good shoutout on your social media! We have a strict policy against recordings of any type in all classes and legal action is possible. But, please feel free to snap a photo or quick video and don’t forget to tag us @bodybalance_nwa!

Can I attend classes if I'm pregnant?

Congratulations! We highly recommend you consult your healthcare provider about any exercises during or immediately following your pregnancy. It’s not recommended to start a new workout mid pregnancy, however, we’re comfortable with you practicing as long as you and your physician are. There are always modifications available so please inform your instructor if you are expecting.

How old do you have to be to attend class?

We ask that all clients be at least 18 years of age. If you are 14 years or older and accompanied by an adult (who signs a waiver) we would love to have you. Periodically, we offer family classes and those are open to all ages with a parent or guardian.

Do you have lockers and showers?

Our lobby area has cubbies and secure lockers to store your belongings. We do not offer showers but we do have 2 good sized restrooms available for a refresh after class.

What should I bring/not bring to the studio?

We provide complimentary bottled water and towels.  A water bottle refill station is located near the restrooms and towels are available in each studio and in the locker room.  Grip socks are required for all XFormer classes (we offer socks for purchase in studio). For all other classes, you have the option to wear tennis shoes, grip socks or go barefoot, it’s your preference. You can find a recommendation of footwear under each class description when booking your class. We recommend wearing breathable, fitted clothing but please wear what makes you feel comfortable. All equipment is provided.

Please do not bring valuables with you. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Lockers are available for your necessities.

What is your refund/return policy?

All sales are final: classes are non refundable and non transferable.

Merchandise may be returned within 10 business days of purchase. Merchandise must be in new condition with original tags still attached. All garments are subject to inspection. Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment.

XFormer FAQs:

What is an XFormer?

The XFormer is similar to the traditional reformer, with a modern fitness approach. Weighted springs and a moving carriage with a front and back stable platform create continuous tension and demand constant engagement of your core. This machine is designed to bring you to your peak muscle fatigue and build strength and balance throughout your entire body.

Is XFormer the same as pilates?

As much as we love the traditional Pilates reformer, the XFormer method is fitness based. For starters, the machine is different because the carriage moves from both a stationary front and back platform creating different resistance patterns from both sides. Our signature XFormer workouts focus not only on core strength but overall muscular strength and endurance. Movements on the XFormer are slower paced with a higher intensity giving you that slow-twitch muscle fatigue that gives you unmatched results!

What if it's my first time doing an XFormer workout?

Welcome!! Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start of class for a quick XFormer orientation and studio tour. All XFormer classes require grip socks (we offer these in-studio for purchase). Remember, everyone in the Foundations class is a newbie, you’ll be in great company.

Private or semi-private classes are also a great option for your first XFormer class.

How often should I take an XFormer class?

We suggest attending class two to three times per week if you’re looking for strong, sculpted, toned muscles. We also recommend adding in our other signature classes to reach your optimal fitness goals. We provide you lots of options to fill your weekly workout schedule for maximum results.

Do I have to wear socks on the XFormer?

Yes. It’s just cleaner that way. We require all of our clients to use grip socks while on the XFormer. Socks are available to purchase in studios. There are NO exceptions to this policy. Grip socks are recommended over regular socks because they provide a stable base for your feet and won’t let you slide around on the machine. Safety first!
